Well, It's been so long for me for a lot of things, but its definately been so long since I have been to newrisedesigns, let alone posted something new. But no matter how much time passes, I will never forget where I come from. ha!
So, its been so long since I have been truly happy, and on a consistant basis. Its been so long since I have had tons of fun, with all of my friends, doing interesting and adventerous things.
It's been so long since I have been in a relationship...but I am, and let me tell you it was worth the wait.
So, in the past few months, I have done so many awesome things, but here are some of the most important and most enjoyable things.
Ok, so in January I put together a benefit concert for the Tsunami Relief fund, and that was a lot of fun, but also rewarding. That is also where I met someone special for the first time.
Lets see, in February I believe it was, Me, Adrienne and Josh all went to Philly to watch the superbowl, which was like so damn fun and awesome! It was truly such a fun experience, even if they did lose.
Alright, so the best thing to happen recently would be Spring Break a couple weeks ago. Me, Adrienne and Kate went to Florida to visit Kara and Kaylee, and the rest of the family, and then went to Myrtle Beach to meet Doug, and his Marine boys. Florida was cool, but Myrtle Beach was f-in awesome! I missed Doug tons, and to see him was just so nice, and his friends are so damn fun, that they kept us cracking up the whole time!!!
Yesterday I got flowers sent to work, from Doug. He was apologizing for not being able to come to my MySpace show over the weekend, and also just telling me he missed me.
Oh, I almost forgot, the MySpace show, it was this past saturday, and it was pretty damn awesome. The bands that played were Cutie and the Catfish, Radikal Son (aka tribal scream) and The Hint. We also had a Karaoke Idol contest with judges that made fun of the people after they sang. The judges were great, a guy named Brian, Jarvis, and newrises' very own Kate Campbell. We even had an MC for the party. The whole place loved Radikal Son, and The Hint, the whole place was dancing when they played.
There was a really good turn out, and the awesome thing was, we had people come from Philly, North Jersey, Cherry Hill, and all over, oh wait, Sicklerville (shit did i spell that right?) and many other places I cant even remember, all at the darn Pub in Bridgeton. How cool is that? So it wasnt just your typical locals all together like usual, but an awesome mix, and when i say awesome, i mean every color, ever location, age whatever, all together and having a blast.
Last but not least, I have two trips planned for this month for seeing Doug, he is not home right now, he is a Marine, and so right now he is in North Carolina....anyway, I am going to see him in 8 days, and then I will be going back to see him on the 28th of April. We will play everything by ear, because things change for him a lot, but so far everything is great, and he is great. Not only is he great, but HOT, and mature, and we just go so well together. So, I must say, life is really awesome, and I can't even complain.
Work is coming along well too, I have a lot of weddings booked for this year, and more coming in still. So that rocks! Its funny how when things are not going the way you want them too, all you can do is dwell on the negative and its hard to imagine things getting better. But then when they do, you sometimes wonder why you wasted so much time dwelling on the negative things to begin with, because if it wasnt for them, I wouldnt be having the time of my life, with the best people in my life!!! Everything happens for a reason...thats for sure.
