Chapter 2 : Hang Ups

"Phone calls, we take your phone calls, we take your phone calls everyday!!!"

Ah, the swollen sound of a strangers voice on the other end of your phone. Picking away at your ear, they so desperately want to keep your attention. In this world of blogs and bordellos do we really have the time to sit and listen to their scripts? You know what I'm talking about, don't you?

Most people answering these types of phone calls may deal with it as if their subscription to anger management has run out. I usually place little importance on these types of matters and even less thought, that was, until a fluke occurence in which I came upon an interesting way to dispose of these interruptions.

With some careful planning I was fortunate enough to capture some of my victims as evidence of my recent findings. Please feel free to take my methods of deafeating the telemarketer and use it as your own defense against their armies.

Without further ado, here's Chapter 2 : Hang Ups.

PS - You need to have your computer speakers turned on for this chapter to take it's full effect. Special thanks to Heather for helping me get the music. The 'Hey Nows' are in there to protect my ass from all you internet freaks.

PPS - If you are a telemarketer, please forgive me (and I might forgive you).

Yeast.

You are the epitome of clever Chuck. None of those telemarketers suspected a thing, I'm sure.

once again you made me LOL, big time!

FYI - All those calls are genuine, the only edits I made to them were (1) I removed the annoying 10 seconds of silence I got after answering the phone before the telly's began to speak and (2) I added the 'Hey Nows'.

I like the new look. needs a little bit o' neatlinin' and paddin', though.

I wish to christ that Ken's security settings weren't so freakin' insanely paranoid that I can never view flash, accept cookies or apparently see/hear your media bits. Or is it just a program I don't have?! I agree with John. Nice new look.

I know it may be too passive aggressive, but why not just put yourself on the do-not-call list?

I seriously think he gets a kick out of messing with telemarketers. I'll be sitting at my "office" desk in the room next to his, I'll hear him answer the phone and say "hello?" like 50 times, and then hang up and start giggling to himself. I think Chuck needs a vacation frankly :P'

he probably does need a vacation. this reminds me of one of the commercials for dave and busters, where the people are like all whacked out from working too much...have you heard them on the radio??

I actually don't really answer the line where the telemarketers call unless I'm expecting a call on that line and/or I feel like messing with the telemarketers ;)

You need Windows Media Player to play the video file on here. If you are using Windows XP it comes equipped with the player. If not, you can download it here http://www.windowsmedia.com/download (if Ken's settings will allow you to).
