Chapter 5 : The 3rd of July That Was

Date: July 3rd, 2004
Location: Michael Debbi Park - Richland (Mojito) , NJ
Event: Richland's Annual 4th of July Party

On July 3rd of this year I set out on a mission with my cousin Edwin to decipher the meaning of Richland's Annual 4th of July Party, to interview some event goers and to figure out what the hell the locals are thinking.

We were in search of beer in all the wrong places, spotted some mullets, battled the Hulk on the eve of Spiderman 2's world domination, tried bribing some 12 year olds with beer and pot in exchange for a "jump" and interviewed "Oscar".

We might've gone too far this time, but too far is never enough.

PS - Keep a close eye on the video for a cameo of THE OWNER OF NEWRISEDESIGNS.COM !!!

Chapter 4 : The 4th of July that Wasn't

I'd like to take this opportunity to show that I'm not such a weirdo; obsessed with birds, cats, pranks and sopranos and show the internet that I can, somehow, be a normal guy.

On the 4th of July this year, my family had something special planned. Not only were we having our annual 4th of July party in Richland (Mojito's first) but we were throwing in a twist for one of it's attendants. My Aunt Lynn turns 50 on July 17 of this year, so my cousin Sue had the idea to throw a surprise party for her and combine it with our 4th of July party to help keep things incognito.

So I guess where this event and my being a normal guy come into play was that I helped Sue to put together a special video for my Aunt Lynn for her surprise birthday celebration. The video consists of still images of Aunt Lynn through the years, as well as our immediate family, and some other cameos thrown in for good measure. The soundtrack to the video features Rod Stewart.
I must admit, I'm not a big fan of Rod, but the song we used in this video kind of grew on me after a while. Thanks to Sue for coming up with that music selection, it worked out really good.

So I'd like to dedicate this post to my Aunt Lynn, wish her a happy 50th birthday, and wish you all a Happy 4th of July.

Oh and on a side note, Chapter 5 will be arriving very soon. Inspiration has been consuming me alot this month. Thanks for your patience (yeah you, thats right, you).
